“When I’m racing 12 or 24 hours my lights need to be lightweight (especially on my helmet) and bright enough so that I can keep up my speed in the dark. The TriNewt and MiNewt are two of the greatest lights I have ever worked with by far. Now I can keep up the pace when the sun goes down!”

Monique “Pua” Sawicki – 2007 24 Hour Solo National Mountain Bike Champion

From the very beginning, NiteRider has been an integral part of 24-hour mountain bike racing. The birth of the sport and the growth of NiteRider have been more than just coincidental. Our support of 24-hour racing has grown over the years as well. In 1992, at the very first 24 Hours of Canaan, we showed up with little more than a bank of fast chargers, a few light systems, spare batteries and a lot of curiosity. Over the years that support grew to include the now legendary Big Brute race chargers capable of charging over 100 batteries simultaneously. Now, with the addition of a revamped race trailer and new tow vehicle, race support for 24-hour racing has rocketed to an entirely new level- the NiteRider level!

In the early days, racing consisted of one or two races a year. Now there are literally dozens of races each year in nearly every state across the country. If you race, you’re likely to see the NiteRider rig and crew charging batteries and missing out on some sleep. We are committed to making certain you continue the race long after the sun has set.
