CHOOSING YOUR FRONT LIGHT

Which NiteRider front light is right for me?

Start with how and where you ride. Choose Mako for straightforward everyday visibility, Swift for easy rechargeable daily riding, Lumina for self-contained performance that scales from everyday roads to technical trails, and Pro Systems when serious night riding and external-battery endurance become the priority.

How much light do I need?

It depends on ambient light, speed, terrain, and how far ahead you need to see. Lit streets and bike paths generally require less output and beam coverage than dark roads or technical trails. Start with your riding environment, then use the family pages to narrow down the right model.

What is the difference between a self-contained light and an external-battery system?

A self-contained light keeps the light and rechargeable battery together in one unit. Lumina is built around that approach. Pro Systems use a separate battery so riders can prioritize greater endurance and serious night-riding capability.

What if I need a front light for an e-bike?

NiteRider also offers the Epro 1000, a dedicated hardwired e-bike headlight designed to connect to compatible e-bike electrical systems. Compatibility depends on the bike, and NiteRider recommends installation by an authorized e-bike service and repair shop.
