Mount Review

I have loved every Niterider product I have owned. I first bought one of their headlights in the early 90’s, and have upgraded over the years. I like all the headlights and taillights I have, and I have many of each. I saw this mount and thought it would be a clean way to get more light during daytime rides. The hardware is well-made—I love that it is a REAL CLAMP, not a rubber band (they all break sooner or later). But the moment I started a ride it was clear it would not clear my legs. Whether mounted immediately below the seat, or all the way down near the seat tube clamp, the lights brushed against the back of my thighs when pedaling. This was the same on my road bike and mountain bike. It rubbed me everywhere. So I am disappointed. If the horizontal bar that has the two clamps was angled backwards, it would work perfectly I think.
Am I missing something??
